Baseball preview, projected starting lineup

2010 VCU baseball starting lineup:
LF: Matt Leskiw
Coach Keyes on Leskiw: Senior who had a good fall, we’re expecting big things from him.
CF: Andrew Domino
Coach Keyes on Domino: One of the best base stealers in the league, he is a catalyst for us.
RF: John Lenherr
Coach Keyes on Lenherr: Junior college All-American, he’ll probably be hitting in the five hole.
3B: Joe Van Meter
Coach Keyes on Van Meter: Had a good year offensively, this year should be better. Also he might be our closer.
SS: Doug Otto
Coach Keyes on Otto: Played last year with a broken hand and played well with that. He’s got to be one of our best players.
2B: Richard Gonzalez
Coach Keyes on Gonzalez: Has a lot of experience and had a great summer. Hopefully can be better offensively, always reliable on defense.
1B: Brent Mikionis
Coach Keyes on Mikionis: Had limited time last year, he is going to be one of our question marks this year, but he has to do well.
C: Nate Furry
Coach Keyes on Furry: Catcher is his job to win or lose, and he has to do very for us but we’re looking for good things.
Starting Pitching Rotation for opening series:
